Located at an elevation of 570 feet and only 12 miles inland from the coast, the natural beauty of this town is breathtaking. Bordered to the west by the sandy beaches of the Pacific and to the east by the Laguna Mountains and Anza-Borrego Desert, San Marcos rarely has a less than perfect day. Olivenhain offers a unique rural setting filled with ranches, horses, and expensive homes nestled in the hillside. Although Olivenhain is rural in its setting, the Pacific Ocean, major shopping malls and grocery stores are only minutes away.
