How's the market?

I love getting this question. Because it depends if you're looking to sell, buy, rent or invest. I'll answer it from a seller's perspective today. Most homeowners don't get to feel the pulse of the market as we agents do. Especially in the markets we live and work in the most. The real estate market has a funny way of moving in waves. The holidays and January were slower as usual. However, since last week we're starting to see the market heating up again. A new listing in Carmel Valley came on the market the other day at $1.2 Million and they had over 15 offers! This increase in activity is mainly as a result of low inventory. Especially nice, move-in ready homes in neighborhoods with good school districts. This is great news for sellers!
