Our two very active kids are Emma (10) and Jack (7). I love them more than anything in this world, but they also drive me nuts! Being a working mom, my kids already know how to open lockboxes, are used to me working odd hours, and when "mom" is on the phone they usually interrupt me.... haha! With my husband being a General Contractor remodeling houses, our dinner conversations often involves around houses!

I've been listening to audio books and podcasts lately about parenting since raising kids to become smart, loving, and respectful human beings is the biggest job in the world! The book called "Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline" is highly recommend. It talks about "love based parenting" versus "fear based" parenting. I really like that. So I'm trying my best to parent with love, kind but firm, respectful, be a teacher, and model self control. Raising kids sure tests your patience to another level! At the end of the day, the love I have for my kids is endless and so rewarding. High fives to all amazing mothers out there. You're doing a great job!
